Just buy external hard drives and do they traditional backups.
This sounds good but here is what i run in to
1. I can fit all the media on my imac ( after 3TB) for streaming via itunes and AirVideo
2. External Drives are not backed-up via time machine
I dont trust the drobo for anything but time machine after my recent close call with it.
I currently do monthly backups to sata drives that sit on a shelf when not in use this is a pain but loosing many dollars of media is worse
Are there dives bigger than 3TB to install on my imac?

OP, if you want 2.5" drives in reasonable pricing, consider WD BEKT (Blacks).
If you'll want to squeeze more juice of your MDD in the future (and you're not afraid of solderin iron), maybe think about overclocking FSB from 133 to 167? It's quite easy, only one resistor to desolder. You'll be able to upgrade CPU to dual 1.25 or 1.42.

How on earth would you play Defender on an iPad? Even with the iCade, it doesn't have enough buttons, does it?

a shame most of the screen is taken up by the controls. They could've done a better job minimizing those in the UI to provide more screen for the game content.

Both Sata PCI cards arrived this morning!! Just need some sata cables now :D
And my apple mouse. Its the white one with a clear outside body and white inner case where the entire body is the button and without the track ball. It matches the white apple keyboard well. I think they are both of the generation that came out with the G5 macs as they are the same as I got with my imac G5 way back when

Can anyone recommend any software for converting vinyl records to digital format?
I have a turntable and usb pre-amp, I am looking for something user friendly with a decent quality file output option. All the reviews I have read and forum searches I have made are turning up old results, is there nothing new about?

Hi. Thanks for the kind advice. I really appreciate it. I know you're right about my pricing. I need to get an organized pricing plan together. I don't know if I'm shooting myself in the foot by charging hourly? I know some designers charge by the type of job and the type of labor it entails (conceptual vs. layout, etc.). Most clients are going to want a quote, so that's what you need to give them. However, if a particular client is happy to pay by the hour, you can choose to do it that way too. Whichever way you do it, communication needs to be clear, so the client doesn't get a nasty shock at the end of the job.
When doing a quote, you're really estimating the number of hours it's going to take you anyway. Estimating accurately is hard when you start, but like anything you get better at it the more you do. I actually created a program to help do estimates eventually, because I hated doing it so much, and it saves me a lot of time.

LOL it amazes me how little you guys know about the law. Please report me to the authorities, there is absolutely nothing they can do legally. I even discussed it with my professor who monitored my bar and he got a kick out of it as well haha.

so I opened up my macbook this morning (late 2008 aluminum) and it was at the log in screen which was weird so i logged on and came to discover that when i click on the applications folder in the dock that opens up the grid view, it logs me out. any suggestions?

The rules on eligibility are pretty clear, dealing with different factors that can seriously raise the risk of infection or illness by the donor, the recipient or both. Everywhere I've donated, the questionnaire has been written as "have you done such-and-so" rather than passing judgment about one's life.
This probably isn't the right forum to debate the various factors and risks. Probably better suited for a medical research forum.

Sorry, that probably needs some explanation. In much the same way as "Turbo" was in the '80s, and "Power" was in the '90s, and "Extreme" is in the 2000's, "Yahoogolous" is the marketing-word of 2021. Nothing to do with the .com that took over Microsoft in 2015 though.
Turbo brings back memories. The concept of having a button on your computer to use a higher clock speed and turn it off so games run at the standard speed. Some games were designed to run at 4.77 mhz. No faster.
I like the iChat function with the phone but I will be happy to see a phone that fully syncs with a Mac using Bluetooth. Addresses, photos, pictures, dial tones, music, movies, todos, and calendars. That would be cool if the basics would work. I hate my current phone because the designers have no creativity or brain to come up with those features.

I'd rather pay and get upgrades than have the developer abandon the app because it isn't profitable to do anymore free updates. What should Loren do when everyone that will buy Tweetie already has it? Develop updates out of the goodness of his heart?
The app store has a problem, and that's the amount of crap and cheapness of that crap. It drives the price of everything down. Factor in that ALL upgrades are free and you have a major problem for devs. You can sell an app once to each user, at next to nothing cost, and that's all you get. Yes, initially it's good when you're selling 100K apps a week but what happens when everyone's bought your app? The app store has a sustainability problem, and it will soon rear it's ugly head.
Compare it to desktop software where even the most basic apps cost $10+ and all upgrades are paid.
I'm quite happy to pay Loren �1.79 every 8-12 months for his work on Tweetie because frankly it's amazing and �1.79 is pretty much nothing.
The problem with most whambulance drivers such as yourself is pretty much the same problem with society at large. You only care about yourself and what you can get for yourself regardless if it's at the expense of others. You have no social responsibility. People's inability to look past their own nose and care about others is really quite pathetic. You don't care if Loren gets paid for his work, or for a sustainable app store. Rather you simply care for how cheaply you can get apps and updates. The self-centredness, the "me me me"-ness of society has become quite a problem IMO.

It will be better for the world as I am planning on being a top notch criminal prosecutor, and plan to put a LOT of criminals away. This will, in some way shape or form, benefit you in the not so distant future. So, in order to make this happen, I need YOU to send me some money!!
