You already have to envision what will happen when a user changes the text size. The web is not print or TV, it's supposed to be flexible and to be controlled by the user, not the designer. The G4 will be slow but if its sitting idle it still will get the job done. As for the iBook thats what i use to to fold and it does get a bit warm but is okay as long as the processor is set to automatic in the energy preferences.

I'm betting that the "Castle" will be a remote site backup of my home folder. I'd pay for that service. No backup is complete without an off-site segment. Take a look at all the destruction of the past week in the South. I wonder how many lost their data, music, video and photos to the storm without an off-site back-up.

Well Amazon started selling Beatles CDs for 7.99 each right after iTunes got the Beatles Catalogue. Pretty much below cost but a lost leader for them.
I don't see why Apple would care. They get paid by the retailer.
It cheapens their product and pisses of their retailers.

No but as stated before, if a chain is undercutting others then the manufacturer can choose not to sell to that retailer.

Could I use a MiniDV camera for video input (ignoring its microphone) but a USB microphone for sound input at the same time in iMovie?
Off the top of my head I believe you would only be able to import the video and audio from the DV camera at the same time, you would need to use an external mic which was connected to the camera itself or add in your mic sound in post.

This keynote was a huge letdown for me. Sure I think the iPhone looks amazing and it has me considering a switch to Cingular to get one.
When I saw that the keynote was going to be 2 hours this time, I was super stoked. I just knew it was going to be jam-packed with new products, speed bumps on the computer lines, demos of leopard and iLife, etc. he spent 2 WHOLE HOURS talking about 2 products. I simply can't believe that. I know Steve wants to pimp out the iPhone as much as possible, but come on. Where was the "one more thing", etc? Sure there were really 3 things with the airport basestation being thrown in there without an announcement, but NOTHING that was discussed is available for immediate shipping.
I've been anticipating this for months since the announcement of quad core processors in hopes of getting an 8 core Mac Pro on order today. I've been saving up and keeping my credit clear just for that purchase and I've been extremely disappointed.
My only hope now is that since the quad cores are being released this week that they'll do a refresh soon down the line.

Not sure how people have gotten the idea that only Google has map data...
Maps are old, people. They've been digitized for a damn long time. There are good sources of data available should Apple want to go in that direction.
Now, when you talk about StreetView, yeah, that may be something of an issue.

Not so great at GREPs for Adobe Indesign. Would anyone care to help me figure out a GREP statement for the following scenarios:
1) Find letter x which occurs before letter a, ie 'xa'. Apply character style 1 to x.
2) Find letter combo xx. Apply character style 2 to the first x of this combo.
Any help would be much appreciated. I have an account on adobe.com, but i can't create threads there for some reason. This seemed like the next best place?
